I say go for it. You have tremendous talent and it seems these two pieces could be easily combined. Do you sell your work? It seems like you could easily turn a profit with your sketches. Anyways, good luck with your endeavors!

Yes, I sell my works - the website link is at the top right... and I do a tent show every fall in Temple Terrace...

as for sketches, tried several years ago, but nothing came of that - hard enough to sell the finished products... perhaps in another half dozen years, will be known well enough to try again... newsprint is not durable, so is an iffy to buy, would presume...

When one works largely from the mind, imagining a world, it helps to put more into even a sketch so to bring believability... of course, this means more in the way of focusing, especially in doing pen and ink for the obvious reason of the finality of the ink... now, as in the islet example, does this mean each placement of the grasses? no, only in the general scheme of composition, as this allows variation possibilities - not only in this particular one, but in succeeding take-offs or cribbings...
