"Improvisation" - Its Theme and Visualization.....

In visualizing "Improvisation", some thoughts and questions come to mind...  is this a vegetarian soup being proposed? if not, where's the meat? what kind of meat would be used in such a visualization - indeed, what is the purpose of this visualization, this 'nature of improvisation' being visualized?  would roadkill do - if so, what kind? perhaps pigeon, rat, and puppy? a hare? why or why not? [note - could had said armadillo, but size preclude this if seeking life size] if not any of the projected roadkill, what else might do - why or why not?  what differences, if any, would come from the choices in terms of sense of life? in terms of originality? in terms of improvising itself?

"Improvisation" - 1

Beginning, basically, with the pot, am establishing the intensity because of it being a black pot, so everything else can be tallied in concert with this 'value pushing' achieved here...
and extending to the assorted veggies shown...
along with a fruit, an example of the 'potluck' of a stone or nail soup - never really knowing what will show to be included.....

"Improvisation" - the sketch

Am in the process of rendering a b/w pen/ink still life on 24"x18" primed canvas sheet of a stone and nail soup prep...
