Been revamping my website - http://a-robert-malcom.pixels.com/ - but also been adding grass to this one... tedious as it is, it has its reward - nice grass....

30"x48", canvas re-primed and gloss mediumed... using F W acrylic inks... grisaille is the usual Prussian Blue...

sorry it has taken so long to post the finished work - had thought not have enough white ink to fully clear the background before left for my break, only to find that by combining the two old jars, had JUST enough to get it done - after first getting out to the AOE where I got my white ink... so - here is the finished work of "Coventry", 20"x32", colored acrylic inks on acid-free foamboard, from memory of the items...

before finishing, decided to show the layers of the shelf, so all can see what effect they have - the right end is the blue grisaille, next is the sepia, then the flaming orange, then the lemon yellow.....

the sepia is down, just the flame orange and lemon yellow to go - and be finished...

slow but steadily working my way across the shelf, having finished the leek roots and the garlic...

a couple more glazes of white for the white onion and think is done, for now.. so onto the leek leaves and a few layers on the yellow onion...

not seemingly much, but is taking several layers of white glazing to building up the white onion to its lightness...
