Prismacolor pencils on 7"x5" Stonehenge pad paper....

Base layer of cherries - ultramarine blue, layered w/poppy red on the lit side and crimson red on the mid and shade sides, and stems of light umber, grass green verithin and canary yellow verithin...

Dark umber for the ground, and the wood grain, w/sienna and goldenrod layered over...

And the grisaille is done......  now to finish coloring...

Progress on the carafe...  just needs now get the rest of the stippling done, then can begin on the coloring - red earth for the cup dragon, sap green for the carafe's...

Stippling in the grisaille of the carafe, after having done so with the cup...   then when done, the dragon goes in - and then both get colored...
