In going thru my old postings, especially the ones from the first year, came on this one - "Breakthrough"...
and it reminded me that at one time had in mind doing a series of landscapes [and perhaps some co-relating still life] wherein each was a complete painting in itself, yet the series comprised a grander landscape, also with its co-responding theming...back then, too many other matters competed for attention, and this idea got put on the backburner - and actually forgotten...

Time to revive it, am thinking...........

FINALLY finished the ground, so can now get on with doing the bamboo over the fence area - then measure the whole off to see just how much more to go to reach the 8 feet length..........

Monday, May 14, 2012

Slowly making more progress... despite pain in my wrist limiting time able to spend on this, am plodding along on the detailing of the ground - and when get that done will go to getting the bamboo all up in front of the fence...  then will unroll the whole and measure, so as not to go further than needs to...

Friday, May 04, 2012

beginning to fill in the new section... still lots of bamboo yet to do, enough to hide the fence actually...  then begins the detailing......

Slowly making my way across - now into another new section... needs break and get in those wires and birds, probably this weekend.......

Wednesday, April 18, 2012

And this is how it stands at the moment, about a third of the way down...  for scale, it is about two feet from the bottom of the work to the top of the fence...

Monday, April 16, 2012

Continuing into the new section, adding more fencing and covering fence areas with vine growth, working from the top down as the leaves overlap from the bottom up...

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Got the left side of the fence down, and most of the ground - so now to get on with more sections........

Friday, April 06, 2012

Beginning to texture the fence planks..............

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

Putting some things more into context............

Impatient to get on with the detailing, decided to do some of the gravel/stone before finishing laying in the vegetation.......

Saturday, March 31, 2012

Having gotten past the two feet section, am now getting the vegetation down, then will go over and detail - getting the textures and shading in, before going on with the next section........

"FUGUE"

Have finally begun work on the large scale pen and ink painting "Fugue" ...  while not yet got the mural easel up, have  instead been using the large board, unrolling and rolling the canvas as proceeding along...  the actual painting will be 3 feet high, with white below and above the work, and is hoped to reach the anticipated 8 feet length on completion...  initially am just outlining the visual, to go over in 2 feet sections the detailing of shading and texture once reach that length...

The Overflowing Cup 10

Progress on this has been slow these past few days, but the end is in sight - am on the cup, filling in with stippled cyan the overflow part and using sap green on the untouched section of the cup, now seen in progress... just needs finish this part, and touch up here and there over the work, emphasizing highlights and so forth - and will at long last have made an end of this...
