Interlude

YES, IT HAS BEEN A TIME SINCE LAST POSTED HERE... as have been struggling to continue painting and concentrating on finishing my pen-and-ink painting Reclusive Elements first... have an operation scheduled for the 28th on my left inner carotid artery to 'clean' it so not faced with another stroke... if all goes well, then will be back to work on this mural...

finally back to this, enough improvement from my stroke that was willing to try more - and it has turned out better than expected, actually... there are spots which need be whited, as lost a bit of control with the brush, but can move onward with the mural...

pushing more on the house, as well as cleaning up some slops - blocking in the form for now - windows and details will come later... and note the wall by the loungers, indicating 4 levels, plus the rear projection out onto the side of the cliff, with the waterfall next to it...

slow going, but moving along...

did more penciling on the house and altering of the landscape to the better around the house ... intend getting cyan tomorrow so can do more of the ground to the left of the stream, and lower the stream more to let the pool and sunning deck better fit in... and allow seeing the entrance and exit portals for the pool water...

finished this section of the background grisaille, and now on the foreground area... at least until can get more processed cyan...

had a stroke, as more tests attest, so am  on blood thinners for awhile, and having physical therapy for a couple  weeks to help regain muscle control... and am back to painting... as such, finished the gravel part of the background to left of the floral rock, and be on to the same on the right side, coming to where the ground rises to the foreground level...

into the foreground stippling of gravel, which is taking seemingly forever to cover the area...

it is hard on my damaged wrist, actually, as am having to turn the hand more left/vertical to achieve the angle needed (besides which am much more used to laying the hand/arm on the drafting table instead of holding all upright on the vertical)...

moving along... slow, because am not used to holding the brush to work on an easel, as used to hold brushes and pens on a sloping drafting table by resting the arm on the table... so is taking a bit of time to adjust to the once used form from long ago...

am not worried over the slight seen thru of old paint, as it will all be buried when new paint is laid on top...
